La Traviesa Resort

Finally! The semester is over! I can now relax! It was April 1 when I had my last final exam (in Corporation Law). I guess I should reward myself and take time to unwind so I decided to have a 3D/2N vacation. I chose La Traviesa Resort. I saw pictures of it but I would like to experience the view myself and appreciate Mother Nature. So from Bacoor, I waited for a bus with a sign board Trece so I can be dropped in Manggahan. The fare costs 31 pesos from Bacoor to Manggahan. However, if you wish to travel from Manila, you can ride a bus in Coastal Terminal with the same sign board (Trece). Or if you are adventurous enough, you may ride a bus or even a jeep with these sign boards: Silang, Tagaytay, or Pala-Pala. When you see SM Pala-Pala, then you need to transfer to another jeep with a sign board Trece and ask the driver that you be dropped in Manggahan. From Manggahan, some bloggers said that you can ride a jeepney but I suggest that you ride a tricycle instead. Besides, that would only be 25 pesos (good for 2 persons) and ask the driver that you be dropped in La Traviesa Resort.

From Manggahan, La Traviesa is on the left side and this sign is big enough for you to see. Moreover, the tricycle drivers are familiar with this place (FOR SURE!). Upon arriving, we proceeded to their office to confirm our booking while my friend is waiting in the lobby. Before going to the room, I signed a paper with our booking  de3tails and other information needed.

(This is the lobby with my friend who is busy enjoying her 3G. LOL!)

Upon confirmation of our booking, we immediately went to our room. The rate of the room that we chose is 2500 per night. So here is our room. I know you'll say that it is worth it!

(Our room number and the cute door.)

And this is the room worth 2500 pesos (for 2 pax)........

This is our bed! The room is spacious, right? It has 2 beds with a mini sofabed-like or whatever it is on the side (I don't know how to call it but you can lie there too and it is not that cold in that area. Haha!). The rate is for 2 persons but this room is good for 5. You just need to pay for the extra persons. I am not really sure with the rate on extra persons but I believe it is 500 or less. Again, SULIT PA RIN!

The room also has this big cabinet where you can place your clothes and a mini fridge on the side where you can place your snacks and drinks. By the way, they don't really care if you bring food or not. GOOD NEWS: they don't have corkage fee! Unlike in other resorts where you will have to pay if you bring your own food. This resort is really a good one, right?

Moreover, they also have a TV in this room but their cable is Cignal (I am not familiar with the channels in this cable) so if you have the same problem with mine, you really need patience and keep on searching for the channels that you want.

Again, I'm the type of person who is more concerned with the appearance of the comfort room. Who would want to use a jurassic comfort room, right? LMAO! However, this resort really has a good and stylish comfort room with this specific thing considered as a woman's bestfriend -> hair dryer!

They have cold and hot shower and the package comes with a complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste and extra tissue roll. After seeing the room, let us now proceed to their pools. They have 2 pools here: one kiddie pool and the adult pool which is the infinity pool.

(Kiddie Pool)

(Adult Pool a.k.a. Infinity Pool)

I'm sure you will be tired after you swim and the next thing will be to look for food to restore the energy that you lost because of swimming. I know for a fact that Filipinos are food lovers. If you don't have food with you, no problem because the resort offers variety of food from sandwiches, pasta, soup, etc. Every room has this folder where you can see the list of the food that the resort is offering with their corresponding prices. For breakfast, I decided to eat Tocilog (it is complimentary and included in the package) and I must say that their tocino is delicious. Every tocilog is served with a 3-in-1 coffee.

During our first day, I ordered Tuna Sandwich and Chocolate Frappuccino for lunch. Their tuna sandwich comes with fries. Not that bad though. On the other hand, my friend had Pancit Guisado and Mochaccino. The Pancit Guisado comes with bread and butter and the serving is already good for 2! Reasonable for the price.

(Tuna Sandwich - PHP 80.00)

 (Pancit Guisado - PHP 168.00)

(Chocolate Frappuccino - PHP 145.00, Mochaccino - PHP - 145.00)

I must say that in my short stay in this resort, I became a fan of their Chocolate Frappuccino. It's a must try when you visit the resort! As I was saying a while ago, SULIT TALAGA! During our second day, my friend tried the resort's Pancake (which is really big! I think it's good for 2) and Molo Soup while I tried their Sisig (which was supposed to be sizzling).

(Fluffy buttermilk pancakes drizzled with maply syrup topped with creamy butter - PHP 80.00)

(Molo Soup - PHP 95.00)

(Sisig - PHP 158.00) <- their bestseller according to the resort's menu

During our last night, we decided to have Pasta for dinner. My friend had Spaghetti Filipino and Tuna Sandwich while I had Grilled Chicken Pasta (which is like a Carbonara. The only difference is that it has grilled chicken on top).

(Spaghetti Filipino - PHP 178.00)

(Grilled Chicken Pasta - PHP 168.00)

If you really want to relax and beat the heat this summer vacation, try to visit La Traviesa Resort. I'm sure you will enjoy and the kids will absolutely love the place. Not only that it is far from the noisy city, you'll also be amazed with the view that this resort will offer. Time to bond with Mother Earth. I hope you'll enjoy and have fun in this resort.
